Tamira M. Moon intentionally combines her love of public health & people to pay it forward by empowering others to live the healthiest versions of themselves. As a young child growing up in Lorain, Ohio, her mother instilled the importance of paying it forward as a lifestyle. As the Founder and CEO of To the Moon & Back Foundation, Inc., Ms. Moon leads the non-profit to achieve its vision of changing communities through the power of giving by implementing initiatives focused on education, health and community engagement. Ms. Moon volunteers for causes that are dear to her heart such as mentoring the next generation of emerging leaders.
Ms. Moon is a proud two-time graduate of The Ohio State University earning a B.S. in Early Childhood Development and Master of Public Health. Ms. Moon is the recipient of awards including Rolling Out Magazine’s Top 25 Women of Atlanta, Atlanta Business Chronicle's 40 Under 40, Atlanta Chapter of Young Government Leaders’ YoungGov40 Award, Buckeyes Under 40, Champion for Good Health Award, Influencer of Change Distinguished Service Award, and Rising Buckeye Award.
