Visionary leader, Tamira M. Moon, devotes her life to work that enriches her community.

As a young child growing up in Lorain, Ohio, her mother instilled the importance of paying it forward as a lifestyle. Ms. Moon volunteers for causes that are dear to her heart such as mentoring the next generation of leaders and spreading the message that HPV vaccination is cancer prevention! As a first generation college student and two-time graduate of The Ohio State University (earning a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development and Master of Public Health), she is active in her college alma mater’s efforts to recruit high school students. Ms. Moon is the recipient of awards including Rolling Out Magazine’s Top 25 Women of Atlanta, Atlanta Business Chronicle's 40 Under 40, Atlanta Chapter of Young Government Leaders’ YoungGov40 Award, Buckeyes Under 40, Champion for Good Health Award, Influencer of Change Distinguished Service Award, and Rising Buckeye Award. "No award can outshine my greatest accomplishment which is the establishment of To the Moon & Back Foundation, Inc. in honor of my mother, mentor and muse, Theresa “Tippie” Moon!"  -Tamira M.
